Analytics

Analyst at Institutional Analytics and Planning (Office of VP Strategy), the data specialists of the University. My role within the Data Science team involves pioneering new analytical solutions to integrate a wide range of sources concerning student, staff, HR, finance and research data, to ultimately drive decision making and challenge traditional BI practices across a large organisation. Using Power BI, this includes leading the production of dashboards concerning unit of study outline publications, and building reporting systems on student location in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Python scripts have also appeared my specialty, generally for the sake of automation, such as streamlining cumbersome manual processes, or dynamic environment management systems.

Tutor in the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science, for a number of both undergraduate and postgraduate units. Two are based on Database Management (using SQL), one concerns Computational Statistical Methods (using R), and the other is an introduction to processing and querying data (using Python). Besides almost exclusively positive reviews from students and coordinators, I have recently received the honour of a nomination for an Outstanding Tutoring award.

Have seen 14 students through their HSC exams (everything from Standard to Extension 2, with results as high as a 99) and currently tutor 10 senior students in the Sutherland Shire region. Though I specialise in secondary school Mathematics, I have also taught a range of subjects including Economics and English.

Music

A collation of my experience would be remiss without reference to music - a personal passion that has extended to a number of professional settings. From supporting artists on the keys, to singing originals in front of thousands; from recording in studios, to leading music over multiple conferences - the chance to share through music is one that eternally captivates.
